Derrick Kondo is a tenured research scientist at INRIA, France. Broadly, his interests are in 1) distributed (data) systems 2) Cloud resource management and scheduling and 3) data analytics.
His research projects are supported by ANR (the French NSF), the European Union, Google Inc, Amazon Inc, and INRIA. In 2009, he received a Young Researcher Award (similar to NSF's Career Award). He has received numerous best paper award's (Europar, CCGrid) for work in these projects.
He received his Bachelor's at Stanford University, and his Master's and Ph.D. at the University of California at San Diego, all in computer science.
